PRESIDENT’S CORNER… Well the summer is here. It is HOT and we have already had some fires. June brings us graduations for High School Seniors. We gave out 5 – $1000.00 scholarships. Elementary and Middle schools received a total of 13 bikes to worthy students with perfect attendance. We will be awarding Mountain Milk and Sierra Tel with Distinguished Service Awards and a Dunlap award to one of our long time members at the Governors Dinner in Fresno. Congratulations to all recipients!
We have a busy June with MMQ starting very early on Saturday, June 11 followed by our scheduled Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, June 12, followed later in the month with the Sierra Tel Pancake Breakfast. We will again be competing in the Oakhurst Community Center “RibFest”, and as defending champions we need to take on all challengers and WIN for the second year in a row.
The “Run for the Gold” Car Show is well underway and we are looking for raffle prizes, Program Ads, Sponsorships and Vendors. Please do what you can to get anyone of these items. Work with the businesses that you frequent and let them know what and why we raise funds for Mini Grants to benefit our Elementary and Middle schools.
A REMINDER – We are going to have an evening meeting on the FIRST Tuesday of each month starting July 5. We will be meeting from 6-7 pm at the Best Western Gateway Restaurant. Until then, have a great summer and a Happy 4th of July.

• The July Board Meeting will be JULY 11 because of the July 4 Holiday
• We will look into a possible commitment with Heritage Days on Sept 16 – 17
• August 5 is the deadline for submission of Program ads for the Car Show
• We will be changing website management within the month.
• Background checks will be completed for all members involved with any youth.
