Joe Cooper, PRESIDENT PRESIDENT’S CORNER……Well, here it is March and the year is half over. We have one participant confirmed for the Key Leader Conference on March 10-12, thanks to Jeanne Cochran. Rain continues to fall, some snow, some flooded basements and bad roads, but we still keep plugging along. March is going to be busy with breakfasts, DCM’S, BINGO, car show meetings and board meetings. As I mentioned last month, the project chairs help keep us in line and on time, but we as a group need to help wherever to take part of the load from their shoulders. My thanks to Steve and Jack for a couple of past and potential speakers for the coming months. If any of the members have somebody you think would be of interest to the club as speakers let me know. Not a whole lot to talk about at this time so will close and hope to see some of the missing members show up at our meetings. See you later. JOE
BOARD NOTES Our Girl Scout Troop will be selling cookies at our March Pancake Breakfast. Let’s support them in a BIG Way! Easter Breakfast and Lunch – We will be serving breakfast from 8-10am of pancakes with a choice of coffee, milk or juice for $6.00 per person and lunch from 10-12noon of hot dog, drink and chips for $6.00. Sign up will be available as we get closer to the event. BINGO – Please see Jeanne for tickets and table reservations. WE NEED TO SELL MORE TICKETS! Car Show Planning – need to get our sponsors now. Next meeting March 7th after the regular meeting. Bike Program –MSP to provide one bike/school Discussed Community benches (See article in Kiwanis Magazine) Comm. will f/u with details. We will be providing 2 DSA awards at the Governors Visit to Lexus and Grocery Warehouse.
